The FanZone! 2009
It's been a while since we have posted updates but with good reason. As with all of our endeavours we tweak everything we do to maximize accessibility. We have still been diligently working at growing the site and message boards.
One of the newest additions to The FanZone! has been our meet, greet and hook up in Windsor group. As we dive into the local adult entertainment scene we cannot escape the lack of local resources available. Windsor has a need for a community centered forum for local adults to get together with other like minded adults near home. Sure, like us you can join Facebook, MySpace, etc. but they really are not local, are they? Lots of people, lots of stuff, great networking resources, but its not ours. We anticipate this topic to become very popular and grow our membership quickly.
We are also promoting our adults only free classifieds topics. We know that many of you use Kijiji, Craigs List, etc. We wanted to let you know that so do we and we also have found a lot of good and bad. What we are trying to do is reduce the amount of irrelevant information and keep it local and direct. Plus we allow adult content.
Please note that as we build our groups and message boards we will be on the look out and seeking quality venues and interested sponsors to reward our members. If you know of any businesses or service providers that may be interested in sponsoring events or promotions, pass 'em on so we can pass the goods back!
There is more to come and we are always working to provide you with quality information in an accessible way!

The FanZone! Redesign
The Fanzone!, our site forum and message boards, has undergone a layout design. Based on the BlackBox theme layout by Crip for SMF.
I really like the look of this theme and have modified some of the css to enhance the functionality and overall look of the site in multiple browsers. As far as the available themes this one is a good fit, from my perspective, for our website and its common look and feel.
The first aspect was to remove the fixed width aspect to allow for a more fluid layout by changing the wrapper width to 100%. The next changes were to enhance links so they have a distinctive difference from the text. I Added yellow font color with additional black background for link hover, to highlight and contrast hovered links and added underline to links in post fields, to highlight links. This is most noticeable when hovering over the link.

Server and Network Upgrades
In our ongoing efforts to provide our visitors with the ultimate visiting experience we have been upgrading our servers and our network infrastructure. Special thanks our loyal visitors! Thanks to your support and overwhelming peer-to-peer promotion and sharing of our site with your friends. This required us to increase capacity and speed up our infrastructure. We are the only site in town that has to increase our network capacity due to increased visitors. The others simply let their visitors suffer with never loading pages. This process has been phased in over the past couple of weeks to assure the least impact to our visitors. While we have encountered a few issues along the way the results are well worth it. We have completed our server and network upgrades and will resume our css based fluid layout transformation. The layout and presentation upgrades will continue for the next several weeks as will the addition of new categories and topics.

All New Classified Advertising for Adults
We are pleased to, finally, launch our all new classified advertising for mature adults directory. We have been trying out a few different ideas over the past couple of years and have finally decided on our format. Unlike any other classified ad site, we do not hijack our visitors browsers. We have developed a clean, valid, standards compliant format that is easy to utilize, without java tricks.
